I have a pair of classics, Olin mark VI 190's from 1976. Green with yellow. In the 80's I sent them back to Olin and had them completely reconditioned. Since them I've only use them once every year or two so they are still in good condition.

I haven't really paid attention to this thread, but when I saw ski_resort _observer replied, I had to look :) , he didn't dissapoint. In my case it's a pair of 2003 K2 Axis XTs, love those skis, great carvers.

Am still skiing my 99'? 170 Volkl G3s. Although they're a little heavy for me...the short radius stuff on anything steep has been tons of fun....and the tuning challenges of a good sized core shot and the normal scratches of nine years, combined with edges that are still in very good shape....have probably given them added life for me ;-) ...but I think this season they'll probably be demoted to rock ski status.

That's nothing...when I skied with you guys two seasons ago I was still using my 1977 Dolomite Dino boots. They cost $500 back then, pretty much top of the line. Sometimes you do get what you pay for.

a pair of "The Ski" from 75 w/ Tyrolia 350 and safety straps. I will take these out couple of times a year.

One of the guys from Epic still skis in a Lange Tii as his everyday boot.

I used to be so styling in my old Lange Tii's! That bright yellow shell was awesome back in the early 80's. Myself I had the "Tii Team" version that had the US Ski Team emblem on the side of them

I'm not quite sure how a boot could survive that long unless it sat in a closet. After a couple hundred days, the wings in the toepiece and the AFD chafe notches in the boot. If you walk in them at all, you'll start rounding off the toe and heel of the boot. I got around 300 days out of a pair of Head World Cups. They had the Head/San Marco silicon injection liner so the liner didn't break down. The shell basically became unsafe where the constant displacement at the toe while skiing wore away the plastic anywhere it touched the toe piece. When I skied Langes, the liners were completely shot at 100 days and Lange at one point was very good about replacing liners. When they stopped that policy, I changed brands after 25 years in Lange.
