Right on!
Right now I am coming real close to my total skiing days for last year and it's not even February yet!!! Honestly, it's hard to be bummed about the weather right now when I've had so many good days this year and we are bound to have at least a couple more months of real winter and then some KILLER spring skiing!!

And yeah, my car can definitively use a desalting :)

C'mon people, eat some corn already!

so true, i'm 1/2 way to last years total, which included 5 days from march 30th till may. at this point last year i had 3 days total, 8 this year. no complaints.

Yeah, then comes Mr. ICEEEEE......
I'm waiting for Mr. Snowman........

I have a serious case of "powder withdrawal" . Life just isn't the same anymore, especially when you had your first in December....

I see ncp in the forecast.

Agree...

It's a lot different when you have several days out already...last year it seemed that the season didn't really begin until late January.

Today was day 33 for me and my local mountain is near 100 percent,,,I'm not hurting and 11 more days and I'll be in Jackson Hole..the season is only 1/3 over

Sheesh!

I don't think any of us have any business complaining about this brief warm-up after the bullshit we endured the first half of last season...

normal year is marginal skiing up till mid- late january-then feb and march are much better. Think of all the snow you have picked up, some will stick around i think. I'm sure there will be many more powder days to come.

I saw some pics of tuckermans last week, it looked nicely filled in for early January.

You should ski and play golf in the same day,.I've done that a few times..even in January..

done it too.....

it has been mashed potato /manky snow skiing first tho....

which means the sometimes erratic, poor quality golf is near certain poor quality after skiing

I actually almost played golf sunday afternoon, I was back from wa at 1:30 but couldn't escape the family taskmaster

Today I woke up to bare spots on my lawn :( Mt. Snow has great coverage for sure, but it's still depressing to see the snow go away on the fields and lawns. I'm looking forward to the return of Winter this weekend.

It was just wrong that I had the top down and the ski rack on my Jeep yesterday.

At this time last year, we had NCP and warm weather all the way through MLK weekend without the cold and snow we've had up to this point this year. That was bad.

So, how much are last minute airfares to Tahoe?

I closed out the season a few years ago by hiking up a closed Wachusett with a friend and doing a comical run down Conifer on XC skis, then climbing a couple pitches of rock at Crow Hill, and then going mountain biking over at Leominster State Forest.:-D
