I give them props. After all the ranting about them not opening, they decided to go against their own policy of only opening when they know they could stay open, and will just open for this weekend. Wildcat beat 'em, but K deserves some love too.

Woot!
I'll be on the road by 6:30/7:00.
Just spoke to a few K-Zoners who are on the mountain as I type. They did Royal Flush and HighLine and said it was AWESOME. The Poma was just starting to run.
Life is Good. :D

I"M HERE!! Just got to killington about 2 hours ago, checked in to my hotel and got the wi-fi workin. I am tempted to go to sleep just so tommorow will come sooner. I rode up to the mountain when I got here, saw a few people getting ready to hike up, but I think I'll wait till tommorow. I am glad they opened cause I dint feel like driving a few more hours to get to wildcat. I was gonna take some pics tommorow and post em but I forgot the damn cable for my camera to hook up to the laptop, oh well. Oh yeah if anyone is plannin on comin up you can get a room for about $53 at the Comfort Inn on killington road. They even upgraded me for free to a suite, not bad, I guess they didnt think too many people were gonna come up.

For you AlpineZoners who will be at K this weekend, a bunch of us K-Zoners meet at 10:00 in front of the K Base lodge. We meet for a few minutes, say "hi," then go ski (not all together). Would be great to meet some of you A-Zoners. :D
Some A-Zoners have met us before and can prolly say we're all not that weird.

Oh and we're all meeting for HH at the Grist tomorrow.... Prolly 5:00/6:00.

Bill, if you want to get a head start, a bunch of K-Zoners are at HH tonight at 5:00 at the Grist.

Can the resorts being open this weekend really be open for the entire season? Now, I know that a TON of snow fell in the Northeast... BUT, rain is in the forecast for Killington on Monday and Tuesday of next week. How much of a base was built to allow for rain reduction and snow slideoff this weekend... Not sure

Bummy, early season, isnt't the meeting at the top of the glades triple, or whatever that may be called nowadays?
