I want a shirt that says "I survived Outer Limits"...LMBFAO..then everybody in Jersey would know I'm legit..
Yeah but to wear it you would have to survive it and that is doubtful. Unless they make a shirt " I survived Outer Limits but looked like a gaper".

Thank you for your answer SpinmasterK. I was in central vermont last weekend and it was much warmer than I thought it would be, but that's gonna change soon enough. Always does.

I appreciate the time you're taking out of your schedule to answer questions about Killington for those of us who still love the place, regardless of some of the tougher changes that your bosses had to make.

Please do not let the naysayers like Highwaystar and others deter you from continued participation in this message board. To those of us who truly know and love the central Vermont ski areas, your input is a breath of fresh air amongst a lot of hostility.

I hope you continue to answer questions (real ones) here on this board.

Thanks again for your input.

Oh lord almightly. Dude, it's his JOB to be on here posting. This is one of Killington's major forms of advertising, especially since he no longer posts on www.killingtonzone.com

I'm pretty sure, (and of course I could be wrong), but I'm pretty sure that posting on Alpine Zone is not part of his job description. Advertising on Alpine Zone is one thing, but actually posting responses to peoples questions on Alpine Zone is something totally different. I don't think he's paid to do that but I'm glad he still does.

I for one am glad SpinmasterK is answering questions on this forum. He gives us reasonable and good information that we may not be able to find elsewhere. Maybe if you left him alone and directed your aggression elsewhere and not at Killington he would answer even more questions and address more of the concerns we have about Killington. Again, I could be wrong and maybe he actually enjoys reading your posts. I can't say either way.

You add nothing to the discussion by bashing Spinmaster and Killington. All that does is potentially have him responding less to our questions here in this forum. I know what happened on KZone even though I don't post there.

Spinmaster was a vital source of information to the Killington faithful on Kzone until he got continually attacked by the likes of you and the rest of the Killington haters, and then he just disappeared, and all the information that we wanted and asked about disappeared with him.

I think it is very nice of Spinmaster to answer questions on Alpine Zone and I welcome his input. I know that I'm realtively new here, but I still have a voice and I'd like that voice heard, especially by SpinmasterK. He also has a voice and I'm glad he uses it here. I think he is doing a very good thing by participating here. I would hate to see him disappear like he did on KZone because the information he provides is very valuable to some of us here that still, and always will, love Killington.

Believe me it is. If anyone wants more history of Killington PR on ski forums, feel free to read the "Ask Killington" forum on K-zone:

http://www.killingtonzone.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=12

Uhm. We spearheaded that whole concept years ago:

2004: http://skiing.alpinezone.com/articles/challenge/2004/response.htm?resort=killington
2005: http://skiing.alpinezone.com/articles/challenge/2005/response.htm?resort=killington

And actually got the guy at the top to participate last year:

2007: http://skiing.alpinezone.com/articles/challenge/2007/response.htm?resort=killington

The lack of any sort of respect or civility on K-zone is precisely why that didn't succeed there. Believe it.

In Highway Star's defense (gasp), he has been civil with his posts here lately and I commend him for that. His flood of questions in the challenge attempt that Jeff linked to above was a bit over the top, but overall lately so far so good on the Highway Star front. I haven't seen one ski-off challenge yet.

Tom is always welcome to participate here, and I value his and all ski area reps' contributions to this community. We try to encourage more of it by asking people to take the high road and show some respect. Sure, communicate your dislikes and provide some criticism, but try to do it in a civil and constructive way. That's not a lot to ask and 99% of us can handle it.

lol...you're pretty clueless...noob.

I've actually met Tom in person and think he's a decent guy, but I don't see eye to eye with him on many things. He is doing a good job, and YES, IT IS PART OF HIS JOB TO POST ON HERE!!!

K-zone has a long history with Tom and Killington PR, and there has been mistakes made on both sides. Even prior to the exisitance of K-zone.

KillingtonZone should never have existed. When Steve Wright quit in 2004 and moved on to Jay Peak, Killington quickly pulled the plug on their captive message board. Personally, I think it's completely insane that Killington allowed that to happen and marked the beginning of the dark years for Killington marketing. ASC made a mess out of the resort in their last years so there's little surprise that people were negative. POWDR disenfranchised an awful lot of people so the negativity was merely re-enforced.

If I were made king for a day at Killington, I'd put the Killington message board back up and devote enough resources to it to moderate it properly. KZone would die a natural death.

Well, the novelty of it sorta wore off over time. Last season we had to twist arms to get questions. That coupled with the fact that many of the reps now just post here on their own, the concept of structuring 10 questions is not really applicable anymore. The fact that we tried to keep most of the interaction above board is possibly why the reps feel more comfortable participating here regularly.
