I'm just getting started. Once my wife's schedule opens up on President's Weekend, I plan on taking a few days off after storms hit and travelling up north. Mid-Feb to mid-March is going to be a big chunk of my season, and then unfortunately I need to start shutting it down once rugby starts in March. Hopefully I'll be able to sneak in a Sunday or two depending on the conditions.

You can take this or leave it but last season Camelback was open into the 1st weekend in April. The crowds really start thinning out in March and the mountain generally is 100% open. Is it VT/NH? No but I think it would keep you quite entertained for a day.

Prolly Midway thru, with the best tree skiing yet to come. Can't wait for the north face to come in on Mansfield, and more base for the natural low elevation areas in Central VT. Then Whitewater!

You're spot on. I used to be very one dimensional and the end of ski season would totally bum me out. Wasn't the case last summer and I don't think it will be this summer either.

In any event, still plenty of top notch skiing left. Hopefully many powder days followed by spring bumps!

you should try kayaking!

The ski season is just getting started and it's only in the last 2 weeks or so that most ski areas are at or near 100% operational.

There is tons of snow on the ground from Maine to Maryland and winter still has punch to it.

There is likely still three full months of skiing left from today.

That's what I do. We stopped skiing on May 3rd and transitioned to Whitewater kayaking on May 26th. We kept at it until November 1st and started skiing on November 4th.

nice... i do not really get to do whitewater down in squan....but just paddling around the river and ocean are real fun and a great workout.

We are lucky to have class I-III whitewater within a 30 minute drive from where we live. I introduced my son to paddling in May and we paddle alot together during the summer. We where fortunate enough to have a rainy summer last year for dependable paddling, hopefully next summer is not bone dry.

I too will be done as soon as my local hill calls it quits----I'm kinda getting the itch to play some golf anyway.

Throw in a health dose of MTB action and some climbing late summer when it's balls hot and you are talking my language. You in Western Mass Loafer?

Why don't ski the Mt. Washington in the spring? IMO, it is by far the best touring of the season.
