Itching to play golf? Pure madness.
While I plan to go fairly deep (my opinion) into spring I do believe there's a cut off date and time to move on to warm weather activities. In my case that date will be around Tax Day. At that point the weather really seems to break around here and it will be time to get the boat ready for launch sometime around May 1st. I just live too far from the northern mountains to ski shrinking terrain into May.

I'd like to ski into June this season..maybe aided by a long weekend at A-basin..
June skiing at A-basin is fun if a bit limited. June skiing at Mammoth is usually better with much more terrain and vertical. This year is a bit sparse for Sierra snowfall so Mammoth may not make it into June if this trend continues.
The last few seasons for me have been "back loaded", with much more skiing in the second half than the first. This year is similar, and I hope to ski at least 2 days a week for the remainder of the lift serviced season. Many of these will be at Sundown, but will also include at least 4 trips up north. In my opinion, the best part of the season is yet to come!
I know some of you nuts push it well into the summer months, but come the end of April, I'll probably be pretty much done. It just occurred to me that I'm quickly approaching the mid point of my ski season. Seems to be going quicker than last year. Luckily the better half is yet to come...
Midpoint? In terms of calendar days, maybe. In terms of days out on the slopes, not even close. The most is yet to come!
