Moving to skiing. I've often changed in the lodge, but I try to be as discreet as possible...

Not me, I'm not much of an exhibitionist. If I need to change it'll be in a bathroom stall.

I'll strip down to long johns... But thats it..

I have a seasonal locker at Hunter - only locker owners are supposed to use the locker rooms....
One day I walk in after riding all day and find 6 Hasidic guys changing.. They were stripped down to their prayer shawls and briefs... And those briefs were loose - if you know what I mean..

I tried to ignore them - even though they were taking up a ton of room... When one wanted to use part of the bench I was using - It was to close for my comfort..
I told them they had to get out cause it was seasonal locker members only.. They got into the whole - "We paid for a ticket just like you" thing..

I didn't even bat an eye... Just went right to security.. Security came and just as it was getting ugly... I left... I think security had to drag them out..

I always change into ski pants in the lodge. My legs would be roasting if I had to drive in ski pants, and I can't be bothered to find the locker rooms.

I don't see the big deal in it...the long johns don't expose anything, and IMO don't look any worse than a pair of sweat pants...

Of course, I usually do it quickly and discreetly in any case.

What about the great tradition of changing in the parking lot, with a few strategic open car doors?

Long johns in the lodge...a little "less" with two doors, floor mat...and the adjacent vehicle. Heck, with the coat on, and bent over...there's not much "exposure" anyway.

I've driven in long johns....it's a little less acceptable (apparently) in the conveninece stores enroute to/from the resort than you'd imagine. *SMIRK*

lol about the floor mat. no modesty here, change in the lodge no problem. always do the thermal underwear at home though, makes getting in and out of the lodge a lot quicker.

Am I the only one who puts his ski pants on at home and drives in them?

Depends on where I am...

It's too HOT to travel in ski pants. I usually wear a light pair of sweats over my LJ's and then put my ski pants over them. I have "designer" sweats. I am the designer. They are cut to boot top length. They are ok with today's fashions (floods), but with the fashions of a few years ago I got a few stares at my high waters.

I think men tend to take more off than women when they come back into the lodge.

I always put my boots on in the lodge...I have to change dry my feet and my socks or my feet get cold. I tried this at the car one time, but ended up putting my foot into a patch of mud and haven't done so since.
