I do like stopping at Villagio Pizzeria down in SLC though when I pass through.
Estes in Park City is better if you like New York style, but even they're subpar frankly. Still searching for something passable as if it could have been made in north Jersey, without success. Been making the rounds, and I still have a few more candidates to try in SLC; hope springs eternal.

But given "hope" isnt really a plan, I did spring for a $135 pizza steel & have been making my own recently.

The pizza in Utah sucks in general. Dalys in Montage has decent pizza and Estes and Maxwells in PC are passable too.

If you fish or boat Echo is a nice reservior in Coalville. I drive through there alot and never even noticed that pizza place. Coalville looks like a town that got left behind in 1990
I imagine that it will start growing to serve as PC's bedroom community since housing prices in PC are ridiculous. Kamas is starting to grow.

I'm surprised that direction towards Coalville & Wanship hasn't blown up yet like what they're doing to Francis & Kamas. It's crazy the amount of building they're doing out that way & I think the big hotel approval was the last straw as the locals in Kamas are starting to stick up for themselves. I do wonder if they're overbuilding though as I notice they're definitely now having issues selling homes. The price you see on MLS is not what things are selling for in many cases as they're offering lots of "free upgrades", mortgage rate buydowns, and whatever other real estate "tricks" they can gin-up to artificially keep their comps high.

Anecdotally looks like a good bit of unsold inventory too. The new community in Park City sandwiched by 40/80 I know they sold a ton of houses to a company that specifically rents single family homes. Bringing the thread back to "new" Deer Valley, I think it's insane the shoebox condos they're asking almost $2M for. I dont know where all these millionaires come from!

I see your $1.975 million 790 square foot condo unit and raise you this new gem. A one billion dollar development in that area named "Velvære" and is pitched as:

The gated, private-membership, ski-in, ski-out project consists of 115 residences and is envisioned as a retreat for those who have the money, if not the talent, to live like a professional skier.
Granted that this is a summary from the Trib, but it still gives me major douche chills. And a "professional skier" would pay for a place in LCC; not at this low elevation.

One other detail from that article....

Deer Valley’s parent, the Alterra Mountain Co., entered into a nearly centurylong lease of the ski terrain with New York-based Extell Development in 2023. Extell retained 580 acres at the base of the resort, which has been the site of nearly constant construction.

You would think so, but there's actually far more current/former pro skiers/snowboarders living on the Back than the Front. The list is oddly extensive (some I'm sure probably have to do with US Ski/Snowboard being based in PC).
