So here's the premise. You're moving out West or to the Alps and you've got seven days to ski whatever mountains you'd like in the Northeast. After that, you know it will be a long time until you make it back, if ever.

Keeping in mind driving times between mountains, etc., how would you plan your last week of skiing? You can start day one already on the mountain of wherever you choose to start.

Tuckerman's-Wildcat-Cannon-Jay-Stowe-Mad River Glen-Sugarbush While I am dreaming here of course all in their best conditions where it snows 10 inches every night after I get to my destination.

Assuming this is while Mount Washington is prone to avalanches instead of spring conditions....

Also assuming I am making a week of it and actually using hotels which I never do as all of these areas except Saddleback are within a two hour drive....

Saddleback > Wildcat > Cannon > Burke > Jay > Stowe > Mad River

Assuming Decent Mid-winter conditions..........Not in any order...1 day at each:

...Killington.....Magic....Stowe....S'Bush....Smuggs....Bolton...Smuggs again

Any Powder days that happened during that 7 days would be at Magic or Smuggs...

Hold the mayo KingM! Aren't you supposed to be checking in guests? Are you contemplating moving or something???:eek:

LOL. No, it's just a what-if thread, although too many more nights like last night might just change my mind. We had a group of about forty people (teenagers and their adult chaperons) arrive via bus after hours and they would not settle down and go to sleep. We had one cranky guest this morning who said they kept walking back and forth from room to room all night long.

I hope that a day of skiing on top of last night's fun will be enough to wipe them out tonight.

I love to ski, but if I were really moving to the Alps (or certain parts of the West), I'd do things other than skiing with my seven remaining days.

Sugarloaf, Jay, Smuggs, Stowe x2, Mad River x2.

I love Sugarbush but have been there enough times compared to others (Sugarloaf and Smuggs I've never been too). This would also rely on having informed tour guides for Stowe and MRG :) If I don't have those guides, I'd probably take extra time at Sugarloaf and Smuggs, given that I've never skied them. Or maybe add a day at Saddleback.
