Ski Area Challenge - 2007?

Just a question: how many of you would regularly submit questions?

I will for Whiteface and Gore. I think several people who post mostly on skiadk would come over to do it too.

Would it be possible to have some threads with specific questions for specific areas before the challenge questions go out? Seems like besides the general questions, some areas people would like to ask specific questions about.

I wasn't here last year, so I have no idea what your typical format looks like or how it works, but just an idea.

They do that. They will have a thread open for a particular ski area for a couple weeks. Then a moderator will select 10 questions from the thread and submit them to the ski area. Then the thread will be re-opened once the responses are received for us to discuss further. Some enthusiastic ski area officials (Win from Sugarbush, I think Eric from MRG, and perhaps others) have sometimes responded further to our discussions after completing the official challenge.

I too am curious about Tenney since it has been off the radar for awhile with the new ownership deciding not to open this past season.

How about Catamount? With the proposed real estate development I wonder how the ski area will grow/change.

Its always nice to hear about Sundown. I know its more for us locals the bump situation for the upcoming season, moving the terrain park, and the possibility of a new trail have been on my mind.

Agree w/many, definitely former and current ASC mountains will have plenty of questions.

Other resorts of questiobnable ownership - Ragged, Blue Hills.

Also places with moderate to major expansion plans, ie Loon, Saddleback.

These are all great suggestions. With the exception of Saddleback, these other places have either said no to the Challenge (Loon) or have not responded to our queries (Ragged/Blue Hills). If you have contacts or inside lines, feel free to PM me with those names and help us make the connection.
