Interesting....not the skiing...the other part.
You mean the nice bar with the mountain view and couches?

Sounds more interesting than the runs. I was always bored there, except for the time 14 years ago when they got hit with over 3 feet. I had no idea how to ski then and just kept falling all over the place. They even sent the groomers out.....cause everyone else was doing the same.
Now about these lonely women....................................
I've always enjoyed the hill. Nice lodge, not quite as rat-packed as Hunter. Of course, I've never gone on a weekend. I like the trail layout better than Hunter. The BIGGEST thing I like about it is the aspect of the hill. When the main face goes into shade in the afternoon, the second peak is still getting full sun.

Try and find a place to sit and eat lunch on a weekend, and you will find that Hunter is LESS Crowded. Also, Hunter is not full of Bumpers and Singles like it used to be. Old stereotypes never die!
There's a new trail (can't remember what it's called) on the east mountain that has the narrow NE trail feel.

That seems to be a big challenge for Hunter's marketing department -- reversing those perceptions. Based on these threads, they're not succeeding.
