No I can't switch flights to Utah. I am also considering switching stay to Vail as an option. Don't want to do Keystone or Breck as one of my teens is altitude sensitive.
Vail is twice the size of BC so you'll definitely have more terrain open there no matter what. They are only 15 minutes away from each other so you could still ski both.

lower third is pretty frozen...... Upper liftline is not..looks super deep..wonder why?

Because Liftline is where young, male, lower-intermediates go to ski a "double diamond" and then die doing so, and I presume Stowe Ski Patrol is very cognizant of this fact. A 17 year old kid from Connecticut whacked a tree when I was working back circa 2000, and another kid a year or two later. They should never have taken the natural speed bumps & teeth out of that trail via dynamite.

I skied it once...it's OK except for the narrow entrance that drops you onto the ...people waiting to drop onto the main run...
And it's a hell of a double fall line..

Bagging it today..frigid up there..need a rest. I think Starr did me in yesterday...interesting run..the middle has a super steep drop full of pretty big moguls..tends to beat you up..
Yep, I can ski all day, but one steep like long run in heavy snow can clean my clock. As mentioned 2018 in December was great. I was on Superstar with powder over my knees. What was will be again...

Wound up moving our Beaver Creek trip to late March and actually saved some $ doing so (though more miles being used). Plan to spend 12/23-25 at Stowe and 12/26-27 at Cat/Tash instead.

Was just contacting airline to find out cost of making change and planned to wait a few more days to make the decision, but there were like $150 of change fees that the person I was working with was willing to waive and make change now for me for free, so I decided to pull the trigger now.

Little doubt that Beaver Creek in March will be way better than now, and hope conditions in Northern New England will be decent for late December. If not those plans are easier to change.

Was also there. Natural snow moguls everywhere. The well skied in trees were good. The stuff down low was crunchy

National was great but it kicked my ass...

Pretty great day for early December

Roads will be a mess..trees down..power out..
I tried this last year when SB and Bolton both lost power..spent half the day driving around..but ended up at Stowe..and was good to go.
