Web cam--- necessary.
Today was significant in two ways. Changed the gym routine to try and do something about my legs dying on Gunny last March and began seriously considering new boards. Aspen East still has the Twisters.... must be a sign from the mogul gods.
As an aside-- besides all you guys who MTB-- what excercises do the dedicated bumpers do to ramp up for the season?
Ski cams are fun, but shouldn’t Sundown be more concerned about the “major makeover” just announced right up the road at Butternut? One hundred and ten (110) new tower guns, hundreds of new rental boots and boards, boot drying capability, and an expanded rental shop. This is a major investment aimed at the local market, which BN is betting will be staying close to home during the economic downturn. Sundown and BN are close enough in proximity to share the same market. Anyone care to speculate as to how this may affect Sundown’s market/future?

I recently had a dream that I was skiing at Sundown. And I have never even been to Sundown! I don't know how that happened. Me thinks I have been seeing Sundown threads too much.Hope that adds to the stoke
We do have a web-cam in the plan for the upcoming season. As far as snowmaking goes we already have 140 low-E guns to cover 65 acres. Our rental shop was expanded to 3 times its original size a few years ago and the fleet is always current. most of our lodge is only a few years old and the older portion was renovated this summer.
The snowmaking upgrades at Butternut started last year and were long overdue. I ski there a couple of days a year and last year they were able to open trails sooner and recover faster than they had in the past.
Sundown, Mohawk, and Butternut are all well run small ski areas, in close proximity that offer very different options.

Either that or a combination of a SSLLOOWW round on the golf course causing a case of heat stroke for 'ya that you probably didn't rehydrate quite well enough with a few beers before bedtime
Or it's just August and the ski jones is really reaching it's maximum now![]()
It was fairly random last year. I'll at least be there every non-storm (i.e., non-VT day trip) weeknight until I'm comfortable with my 100 day season.I really need to get out there this year. Will the gatherings still take place on Wednesday nights this season?

Did a lot of Tuesday nights... ran into familiar faces quite often-- Mondeo, obviously, was there like clockwork...
