If he really said that I would have heckled the shit out of him. I’m assuming others there did as well when he started leaving.

My first day of the year at Snow on Monday. Staying positive. Maybe Brian will get someone to clean the bathrooms by then 🤣

When the Mount Snow GM, Brian Suhadolc, recently made a rare appearance in the Summit lodge, a Mount Snow regular asked him to respond to the lack of communication, staffing and service cutbacks, lack of snowmaking, dirty bathrooms and floors, garbage cans overflowing, and the fact that many trails were reserved on a busy weekend for ski school and race training leading to overcrowding on limited available trails. Rather than provide a response, the GM simply asked. . . "do you have anything positive to say?". And quickly scurried out of the lodge. Brian's arrogance was disappointing to say the least.

did anyone pummel him with snowballs?

"Aw, come on guys. Be nice to my boy Brian.* I just spent the weekend hanging out with him and my friend Dr. Jeff. His efforts are increasing my stock value."

Brian is the fucking man. Bummer he stuck with Vail but he’s getting the bag and knows it. Best response ever.

Winter will be getting progressively crappier as the years go on if the current trends continue. So they better plan some contingencies.
Hasn’t been that crowded overall Mount Snow, just a couple days where snow/ice lined up with Saturdays.
No worker shortage thats some bs because people don’t want to actually address the wage and employment issues.
Vail is definitely the wizard behind this curtain. I’m sure they run things with a make us money and don’t bother us or else attitude.

I definitely don't pretend to have the skills to run a mountain, especially one like Snow. Just found it comical that someone working at that level of a customer-facing business in Boston and NY markets can't handle when clients bark at you. That's kinda the whole shtick here.

I am quite curious as to what the rationale the bean counters came up with in potential savings about reducing F&B hours, apparently across the country, a week before the last typically really busy Holiday period of the year as well as likely shortly before they'll be dropping their procing for next years pass products? And heck, many of those J-1's were going to start heading home in 2 weeks anyway, at which point the locals who work F&B will probably see their hours increase again. Seems like folks are making reactionary decsions at the "10 foot level" but missing the bigger picture at the "100 foot level" on the surface of this.

I get that they have the fiduciary responsibility to their stock holders, but at some point, one has to get that there is some truth to the old adage "sometimes you have to spend money to make money" and cutting back on F & B, which is something that so many of the masses of Epic Pass Holders have plenty of interaction with, before a big Holiday Weekend and the soon launching of next years pass pricing marketing blitz makes about as much sense as those who think that 110+mm full rocker skis are the perfect daily driver for East Coast skiing

I have seen a big uptick in this since COVID. Is this local ski shops failing it's customers? Social media advertising? What is pushing this? Vail's Epic big west culture homogenizing through to the East? Funny to see on a sunny morning after an inch of snow, but downright dangerous on a freezing morning after rain the day before.

I rock 93s and they have been great in all conditions. Wide enough for deep powder if you have some speed and narrow enough to lay down some railroad tracks.

That may of been some of Brian's Jersey upbringing coming through ;)

Honestly in the 2 or 3 times that I have met him this year, he has come across as a very level headed, cordial, get it done kind of guy, even in the 1 instance where a friend of mine who I was with as we were talking to him, started asking him why the choice to end Sunday Afternoon live music in 1 of the main base lodge bars was made prior to this season (Apparently that choice was made at the F&B manager level on site, and not a corporate thing)

Just looking at Attitash trail map and noticed this gem, does anybody actually proof read?

Probably mostly advertising. Most of the masses spend way more time looking through gear guides and ski porn than they spend actually skiing, and buy skis based on the unrealistic expectations that those things set up.

Probably not.

My wife has been in the process of building a website for something new she's doing business wise, and the IT/Web marketing firm that she is using keeps coming back with drafts with various type-o's, wrong pictures, etc. And not just to throw the IT/marketing folks under the bus, but the attornies who are doing the paperwork for her incorporation stuff, have made numerous errors with phone numbers, addresses (both physical and e-mail) and then the folks at the state who are working on processing her incorporation papers have also made numerous errors similar, but different, to the ones the attornies made.

I don't think this issue of proof reading and accuracy is a Vail unique thing as much as it's a societal thing where not as many take the time to go back an re-read what they just did and/or have a basic knowledge of some of the things that folks are contracting with them to do

I'd say social media plays a big role here...

I think the rationale was to cut the bleeding in an otherwise bad season....

The kind of response that would satisfy people here is never going to come out of the mouth of any vail resorts manager. Even if they know the truth and want to say it, they'd be on the unemployment line if they told the public the truth.
