Come on. You specifically inserted the phrase, “illegal immigrants” into a legend in response to a completely tangential post. How else are we supposed to interpret your comments? You’ve made political comments before but we don’t want this to spiral into yet another fight over immigration.Illegal immigrant is not political. It is a noun.

Because long ago the Penacooks prophesized the Old Man would fall when their lands became filled with illegal immigrants that invaded and destroyed their lands; that it would signal the demise of their people, homes and way of life. Similar to Chocorua's curse. Today, only a few souls of the Penacooks exist. You reside where they once lived and roamed. Indian Head (soon to be renamed) is still there as a symbol and proof of their prophecies. It will never fall and is a reminder of what was once theirs. A warning to what will happen if you have open borders and allow illegal immigrants to take what is yours. Everyone knew the Old Man would fall someday, but nobody thought it would be in our lifetimes. I have pieces of the Old Man in my rock garden and sometimes I see tears coming from them.
I’ll have to save that image.I’m in this thread for the sweet Rob Katz memes

I think my post is relative because Vail kind of did the same thing. They arrived here from somewhere else and took over many of our ski areas. Most of us did not-and do not-want them here. The legend of the Old Man of the Mountain is a reminder of how things used to be.Come on. And the original post by Bode is not at all on topic. So move on.
That's a stretch. So you're saying that folks don't like Vail like they don't like "illegal aliens." Yeah, no. We're not going there.I think my post is relative because Vail kind of did the same thing. They arrived here from somewhere else and took over many of our ski areas. Wow... If it wasn't for the J-1's many places would have been in deep deep trouble over the last few seasons...I think my post is relative because Vail kind of did the same thing.
