I am looking to go to Wachusett Friday and was wondering if anybody knows how the conditions are? I know they got hit by some rain after last week's snow and just wanted to make sure I didn't have to bring my rock skiis....

Thanks,
JR

Probably be hard and fast, but the cover is pretty good. Bring your carvers.

They are making snow right now, and should be able to all day/night right through Friday. Hopefully they'll freshen up the open trails as I imagine those have thawed/frozen over.

I am planning on going Thurs night assuming my screwed up back feels ok.

That is what I wanted/expected to hear. I just wanted to make sure is wasn't spotty cover. Also, I will defintely be getting a polar soda. I went to school in worcester and have some fond memories of that stuff.

Conditions should be good. They are making lots of snow and cover was very good on conifer the other day.

Leave your rock skis at home, you will be fine.

conditions are ok.

The conditions are ok considering the rain. They still only have 3 trails open though. The report says 7 but thats inflated. They have conifer, ralphs and challenger open. They close the summit entirely for an hour each night around 5 to groom Conifer. It gets crowded on the mid mountain lifts and the only 2 trails remaining. Conditions are fast and coverage is pretty decent. I saw some sparks flying on the bottom of ralphs last nnight. It was a large rock poking out. Ski patrol put bamboo over it. Be careful, have fun.

I will be going from open until mid afternoon so I should get some of the "good" snow before it gets all scraped off before the 5:00 grooming.

Got to imagine 10th and Smith are about ready to go. They were making snow up there last weekend and they'll be cranking on them from now on.

If you bought it already you should just have to go to the office and pick up the pass. Shouldn't be a problem getting tomorrow morning.
