I just got an email from Best Western Truckee (outside of Tahoe) will a ski and stay "powder alert". This is the place that had 6-10 feet, and the resorts had trouble digging out the lifts and took two days to get some of them turning. Jeezum, rub it in....

And the Bush is still reporting 111 of 111 trails open today. How's that possible?

not possible. according to their website they were closed today due to winds.

I did not see that mentioned, but I do believe it. Their trail count on the upper right in their home page said 111/111 last night, and it also showed 8 or 9 of 16 lifts running.

I promise not to post a trip report until things get better here.....I feel you're pain. And ain't my wife great to set this up for me. I should post a "my wife is the best thread" ...but I think she also wants to get rid of me for a while so she doesn't have to hear me complain...

Sugarloaf is reporting on their site that they blew snow all last night and they expect 2-4 inches tomorrow

so it's not THAT bad up there at least. KMart sucks anyway, so they deserve to have a warm sun stay over them all winter!

I hope that you don't actually think that that pic was from today. WAY too much green, leafy foliage for it to be Mid January in Western Mass. (Plus that pic has been around since late Summer/early fall ;) )

This thread got me smiling again, thank you.

Warren was kind of dissapointed with the lack of snow at Belleayre yesterday, but the liftlines where remarkably short:

Killington was not too terrible this week, but the golfing was fairly decent:

Actually I am a fairly decent golfer, I just don't care for the game very much. My brother on the other hand, put it this way, if he is playing, wear a helmet, he has a nasty @ss slice.

You can guess that Killington shot within +/- 5 years. The Killington double chair is still there. You can see Flume (the K double liftline) but no K1 gondola liftline yet. The K1 went in in 1998. The first Superstar Glacier was 1988.
