What ski will you ski on Opening Day?

Picture it, Opening day 2007-08:
The resort has done its best to make snow and Mother nature has supplied a little, but its not ideal conditions. You look at your quiver. Having trashed your rock skis to a point of being unskiable..............Which pair of skis do you take? (knowing that it may become the sacrificial lamb and soon to be your "next" rock ski)

List your quiver and your sacrificial pick.

I won't bother listing my meager 'quiver', but lets just say it would be an easy choice... Either my brand new bump skis or my old beater rossi's. Though I do still have a pair of volkl GS skis that are only slightly bent I could use... if I had to. ;)

Just my Ripsticks. That's all I've got.

I could pull out my old 1997 K2 Merlin V's but I'm just using them to practice tuning and waxing on.

You got new bump skis? Holy Cow you and Greg are glued at the hip Bumpmicesters. You 2 are starting to remind me of another of my favorite duos.

When you guys come to WF you can sleep in the same bed. :spread::beer:

Which one am I??

And no, I'm not sharing a bed with Greg...

I got the bump skis mostly because I need new skis and they were a wicked good deal, too good to pass up.

The real scary thing is that I recently realized that I started cutting my hair like Greg over the summer, totally coincidental I assure you. I started cutting my own hair so it's easier to just buzz it short to one length... ;)

Right.....total coincidence......

As to what skis I would use? K2 Axis. Bought them last year for $50 brand new with bindings.

I have no idea..either my old LT11s..my new Rossi Scratch BCs..or a new pair of ice coast carvers if I get them by then...if I have new skis I want to ski them opening day...waiting until coverage is ideal is crazy..because all skis are rock skis to me..

One foot on the floor rule in effect. ;)

For me, all skis are rock skis. I will be out early season on my brand spankin' new Cabrawlers. The AC3s will sit until there's some natural.

That'd be the solly 720's.....putting some old rossi axial 120's on this evening. Trying to work out the possibility of SR 2morro. Don't care about work.....must go skiing. Agreed on the all skis being rock skis.

You guys crack me up!
Bob R, I'm soooooooooo jealous!
Enjoy the turns!

My Opening Day Skis will likely be the Elan Speed Magics.
I'll probably sell the Race Tigers so I don't want to mess them up on marginal conditions.
The Nordica Fire Fox is kind of my dream ski this year, and I really don't want to chance hitting something with it just yet.
My other two skis are a mid fat and a fat ski which will not likely be a good choice on opening day.

Sweet! I started a trend! I still haven't yet committed to the HPD Bic approach, but eventually I will learn to fully embrace my impending baldness. You start busting out the full beard and I might have to refrain from skiing with you though, B... ;)

I don't think I cut mine quite as short as you, but it's closer than it was. I was considering going clean shaven this year just in case... ;)

Not yet, for me. Still clinging to the '80's with my mullet. If I do become follicly challenged, I don't think I'll go the "Skullet" route, though.
