*grumble*

Work closed for the day, didn't have to take the day off!

So I'm getting ready, getting my ski stuff together to head over to Crotched..

Snow Report:

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!

Already 4" on the mountain and still snowing heavy. Expected to keep snowing through the day with a 10-12" total. Yeah powder!!!!

The mountain will be opening at 1pm today

Farking Monday hours..

I am debating a trip to Sundown or Wachusett, it looks to be snowing quite heavily at Wachusett right now.

wawa has 4 inches on the ground at 9am , and a 430am forecast calling for 4-8" during the day. My guess is that they will be in that 4-8 range. My bet is that either place will get the same amount of precip, but wawa is running about two degrees colder than sundown, which is sitting at 31. You might find lighter stuff at wawa.

I'm thinking of going tues also.....I was thinking maybe a place like sunapee as it's more southern, no? And this appears to be higher total the more south you go.

An speaking of Sunapee...is it any good, I've never been. Hows the vertical? I can't seem to find it on their website.

Sunapee is pretty good. not very challenging though.....i want to say their vert is around 1800'. they do a great job with the snowmaking and grooming. make sure its not going to be windy though, i went there 2 years ago and all the lifts were shutdown except for the learning center lift. i may go there myself.

Is there pow anywhere? Having shoveled (we're a half hour from Wawa) it felt wet and heavy and packed quickly with pressure. Heck, it felt more like manmade snow than natural, with that sticky feel to it! Not that I'm complaining, mind you, just curious.

I'm taking off for Wa now... my girlfriend was in a pissy mood all day before she left for owrk... I was going to let it bring me down and not go skiing... but I've decided that sitting here sulking doesn't get me anything. I might as well go ski.
