Someone has pointed out that the random guy in black has some sort of snorkel thingy stuck to his helmet. I didn't even notice it at the time I took photo.

Looks like only 1 lift's spinning at Brighton now with mostly intermediate terrain, but Brighton's the only Wasatch resort I've never bene to. Considering it with all this snow as a tickets only $44 versus like $130 at Snowbird.

I have done two days there at the "Meltdown". In one hour I can do 5-6 runs and cover about 15 miles. The new lift is great. Snow is deep and conditions are great. Lots of terrain park features though. It's been busy but not crowded.

11 May 2024 was special for me at Snowbird, UT. Besides enjoying good times with good friends and good snow, this was my 70th and last ski day of the season. My wife and I drive east on Monday. 70 is a PR for ski days in a season. It also matches my age. Kinda like that symmetry!
Hope you all have a safe and prosperous off season. Rinse and repeat next year, God willing!

Mineral Basin skied great down numerous friendly routes.

Very picturesque day all around the hill.

Got into Great Scott. It skied like March 11th. Easy entrance and loaded with chalky snow.

Nah they're very lenient. As long as you have a job with the mountain you can stay here. The employee housing is empty over the summer since theres no J-1s.

It's remotely possible that I will do one more day this season but I'm pretty sure today at Killington was my last day.

I guess the outdoor portion of my season is over, [nerdy discussion] however in the spirit of day counting I feel like any sessions I do at Big Snow this summer will count towards this current season, and then 24-25 begins on October 1st. Ended up not making this weekend's mogul session but if they're doing them the last weekend of every month then I will probably make an appearance there around June 30th, July 28th, probably not August because that'll be Labor Day Weekend and screw that traffic, and maybe once more on September 29th. So maybe I'll get to 15 days [/nerdy discussion]

I guess I finished my season on 6/22 at Big Snow. That was day 32. I started my 24/25 season today at Big Snow. I figure since I can ski year round here I'll keep track of my seasons as July through June.

Interesting that one of your biggest years was 2020. Did you do some skinning or just get out a lot before the pandemic closed things in mid-March?

I got a lot in before everything shut down mid-March. We got a cold snap really early November 2019 and Mountain Creek which is a 10 minute drive for me opened up on November 16th so I think the early start really helped my day count. I think if it wasn't for Covid I would have had my first 40+ day season since IIRC it was a cool March and April in 2020.
