Well, all it's been a great season so I put together this video highlighting some of my outings with other AlpineZoners. This high res version is over 15 minutes long and is a BIG file (125 MB) so it will take some time to download. Worth the wait, I hope. Anyway, here goes:

AlpineZone.com 2006-07 Season Video

Enjoy! I don't want to get too sappy, but I'd like to the thank all the AZers I've had the pleasure of making some turns with this season. You guys really made my season special. Thanks also to those that grabbed the camera from time to time to shoot footage including bvibert, 2knees, Grassi21, powhunter, madskier6 and Joe.

The video is too long for YouTube so I'm attempting to upload it to Google Video and will post it in this thread once it's done processing for those that don't have the patience or bandwidth for the high res version. Well, I hope you enjoyed the videos I put out this season. I had a lot of fun doing them. Next season I hope to step it up a notch with high res widescreen format on an actual digital video camera, and not just my little point and shoot in movie mode.

Thanks again for the great season, everybody!

Great work Greg.

Who is the gent with you guys on 3/26 and 3/30 with the hoodie? Nice stuff out of him. bvibert looks great on 3/30 as well. I skied most of my days with him early this season. But that was the best I've seen you all season. Definite improvement.

I loved how the footy in March looked like spring bump season but then you get a dose of pow pow. I also liked the footage you picked for the credits. Nice touch.

I had a blast this year. Looking forward to next season already. Time to start training!

That would be powhunter (Steve). I suspect we'll be seeing more of him next season on the Sundown bumps.

Nice! Fun to watch. Anything special about the moguls at Sundown? Amazing bumps but something visually strikes me as strange.......I'm probably crazy. The symetry of the bumps looks wierd to me.

Anyways great work! You have come a long way since your first vid. I'm looking forward to river's season vid......hint. hint!

sundown bumps were very strange, before they mowed them down. if you are referring to earlier shots, the bumps were like big solid mounds with actually no real troughs. once they ran a groomer over them, they came back somewhat more normal but i think the lack of pitch on the trail and the dearth of good bumpers at sundown inhibits their growth.

Thanks for being willing to film and be filmed. It's always enjoyable watching you smash through the bumps.

Good stuff, Greg, great music selection... digging the filter

Thanks and you may notice some footage for your camera in there. Thanks for getting that to me!

I always thought the initial bump seeding resulted in haystack-shaped moguls. Not sure why they set up that way this year. Perhaps a combination of the spacing, snowmaking consistency (no significant natural snow at Sundown this year, unlike last season) and lack of proficient rippers. The spring bumps at Sundown were smaller, but more naturally shaped as the snow was softer and they were eventually reformed by skier traffic.

I do my best to make everyone look as radical as possible... ;) Some of us need more editing than others...

Seriously though, I'm thinking about one more video - the 2006-07 Blooper Reel! I think I have enough footage of folks flailing and crashing to easily make a 5 minute vid!

Ditto to everyones comments. You are the video King. Your passion for the sport is great, and everything you do to promote this web site is appreciated by more of us than I think you realize. Hope to meet up with you more than once next year. Chris and I had a blast with you guys. Have a good summer. See you in the fall. I'll keep checking in over the summer. Keith.

Love the Primus!

2knees, damn you take a lot of spills. I guess that's the price you have to pay when you bash the bumps the way you do.

Greg, Thanks for only showing one of my spills. But as always, honored to make the vid.

At the beginning you are skiing bumps at hunter and to the left there is a cliff...is it possible to hit that, or is it not such a bright idea:idea:
