Yes, I made national celebrity that day. Unfortunately.

I had no idea. Glad you are going to be okay.

Me neither. Not sure how I missed that. Glad you're going to be okay, Bill. How are you feeling now?

Haven't you noticed that I'm "more odd" than usual?? :-o

After 2 days in intensive care, I worked from home for about 45 days, unable to drive or walk straight. Balance is back, hearing is coming back, all the pains and scrapes have healed. Driving again. Went up on some ladders last couple weekends, did OK. the only thing that is slow to return is my stamina. So if that persists, I'll be turning more of my daytrips into overnighters this winter.

HOWEVER, I still must be very careful not to fall or get whacked for another month and I must keep a low pace. that means no real cardio, no running, no biking, no rollerblading, no hiking, no sports, or anything like that. If I get another whack during this 90 day healing period, I likely will become permanently disabled. Not in my life plan, so I'll sit it out, get fat, watch TV (I've never watched this much in my life).

My wife is the enforcer, nixing my Thunderbolt trail clearing plans for October, and keeping me off the roof (yes!) fixing things. She had to drive me, my nauseous self back home 200 miles. I may have to miss the Thunderbolt race and just pull a trailside job day of race.
