And Yet again Hunter does NOTHING!!!

Lights are on - on the hill... Somethings going on up there...

Somebody told me they have some start up issues when I was at the bar last night... i take that with a grain of salt...

Very surprised to see no guns blasting at Hunter. I know its been a but marginal and only at night, but the forecast looks like decent night time snowmaking for several days. I will note the Windham is also yet to make snow, but Belleayre turned the guns on last night. And Jiminy, though obviously not in the Cats, but a competitor for sure, was open last weekend and will be again this weekend. There must be something amiss at Hunter......

Its called being CASH POOR! The management seems to be making poor decisions when it comes to snowmaking the last few years...Can u tell I am getting pissed for having paid for a Season pass, yet I have to travel to Killington next weekend to ski. What Bull$hit is this!

Hunter could have certainly opened down to F lift last weekend, but they just don't do that anymore. The extended forecast is not promising with inversions in the forcast. I hear they are going for the week before December 1.

Sunapee update from FB:
"Right now we are looking at opening on Nov 30th. We will open Upper/Lower Blast-off for certain and depending on how the weather cooperates we'll have the Sunbowl open with Wingding or more terrain off the main mountain."

$49 for adults. NOT open from the summit until they get a couple more nights of snowmaking up top (the temp inversion wasn't too kind the last few nights). Skiing off Canyon Quad via Canyon and Nitro quad via Mine Shaft and The Gulch. You will be able to ski from the top of Carinthia over to the main base area, but need to take a shuttle bus for now from the base area over to Carinthia

Here's the link to the blog about opening weekend for Mount Snow that Kelly Pawlak, the GM of Mount Snow put up today

http://mountsnow.com/thankful-for-opening/

She's an incredibly straight shooter when it comes to telling one what to expect when they come to "her" mountain. And if one looks close enough while there, you're probably going to see Kelly out and about scanning passes in one of the base area lift queues, cleaning tables in the cafeteria, and sometimes even on bathroom cleanup duty. She's someone that I'm very happy to call a friend, and has one heck of a managerial style (probably one of the reasons why Peak Resorts as of late has been promoting multiple members of her staff to GM positions at some of their other resorts
