I was in Boonsville, NY yesterday and saw someone in an SUV with the "Ski ADK" license plate.

Anyone from here?

Probably just an ADK enthusiast. I was going to have a vanity plate made up that said 3440VERT, but I was told you have to pay extra for it every year, not just extra to have it made up. Anyone know if that’s true?

Is there any AlpineZone gear (like T-shirt, stickers, etc...) that would help one AZer recognize another on the slopes? If not, maybe we could get something going, I would front a little bit of cash for the initial investment.

The guys over at TGR use stickers and Bro skis to find each other on the hill. I met up with a few mags in Stowe and Jay simply by keeping an eye out for the stickers and the skis.

Yes, AZ does have gear.....I'm sure Greg or someone will swoop in and drop the URL.

And we should start a "AZ Spotted Thread," or convert this into it, so that we can record all those chance/planned meetings...pleasant ones at least

And I always keep letting this window decal thread slip through the cracks:

Boonville? ...on Route 12? ...near the Tug Hill Plateau?

Never been there.

Sorry, I had to.

I drive through Boonville almost every weekend during the summer. I am from the 1000 Island region and our family has a camp on the St. Lawrence.

I'm buying at least one sticker...so you can chuck snowballs at me.

Get the heck out.

I have family in Alex Bay and Clayton. I also support Save The River from time-to-time.

Small world

My mother was born and raised in Clayton. Her family name is Ierlan. She moved back to Clayton after all the kids grew up.

She was involved in Save the River back in the day when Barry Freed (Abbie Hoffman) was running that show.

StR has some great events in the summer, but with three kids and family/friends spread out all along the river, I never get to them. My wife loves to stroll the streets in Clayton. We always stop at the store.
