I know I know..it's only February but I was wondering how late this season everybody thinks they'll ski? Last season I managed 12 ski days in April and my last ski day was the 4th weekend in April at Stowe. I really want to get some May turns in somewhere in the east..I don't think it will be at Killington like in years past. Every year I dream of summer skiing south of the Equator but I don't want to spend the money...maybe a May trip to Whistler or A-Basin is a possibility. Plus with Xanadu opening this summer..maybe I can do the indoor thing in North Jersey..

I responded with the second half of April, but I would really like to score some May lift-serviced this year. I always say I'm going to hike Hunter in May, but never get around to it. Someone needs to propose something in T&E this year, and I might go for it.

Just thinking about this makes me incredibly depressed, BTW...

It is depressing that the season is over halfway done..but a thread like this should be used as a reminder to get out as much as you can.

It's cool that Hunter tolerates hiking after the lifts close..

My wife is due with our 1st child on March 23rd, so any days past the birth will be a bonus for me! 14 days so far this season with 20-30 on average over the past 5 years or so.

I selected May or later and that's purely based on me having my fingers crossed that Wildcat can make it through the weekend of May 4th. If no where is open within in 3 hour ride from here, then it will be late April. Doubtful I do tucks this year, but maybe.

I'll likely be done whenever Mount Snow is done (which should be pretty late the way they're talking). While I can afford a trip to Sugarbush just to ski 2 runs in May, I have a lot of other things that kind of money can go to. I might get the first weekend of May, but it will probably be late April.

EDIT: From Snow's report today: "Our new owners, Peak Resorts, are passionate about their snow surfaces, and it’s apparent as Mount Snow remains one of only a handful of New England resorts dedicated to major snowmaking this late in the season. Come April, the results should speak for themselves."

May is when the "real" skiing really starts. I'll hopefully be hitting the ravines aplenty in late April-May

Probably by the first w/e in April. Heading to Mexico on the 11th, and won't be back until the 20th. If I can get out the 27th or later, great. But I HIGHLY doubt it.

I may be done already. Wish a freakin' orthopedist was in so I could have found out. Tomorrow... better get some answers tomorrow.

I would like to go into April though.

You're not done..if you were walking aroung Target with the rug-ratz..then you can ski..as long as it's just muscle damage..you're good to go..

Word. If Mount Snow goes into late April or May ( ) I am there! Starting and ending at Mount Snow sounds good to me!

Soon as my golf club opens skiing (4 me) takes a back seat to that. However, there is nothing better than skiing in the morning then playin a quick nine in the afternoon. Doesn't happen a lot but sure is fun when we can.

Lift serviced ended for me on May 5th with hike to skiing ending the season on May12th. Warren and I skied in powder more or less from April 15th (closing day at Saddleback) to April 18th at Sugarloaf last season.

With all the snow in Maine at the moment I am looking forward to a long spring season with discounted lodging once everyone(not me) is tired of the snow and done with skiing.

Curiously when I was given a ticket with my voucher, I got a coupon good for a $49 lift ticket good anytime between March 1st - May 31st. I wonder how long Sunday River expects to be opened?
