Haha, you are a little too hopeful.

A month ago we had streams on the trails with people in shorts. I just wanted to counterbalance the doom, and gloom folks. Nor'easters happen. They are unpredictable. We still have two more historically decent months of Catskills skiing. It's a fair bet that there will be at least one 12"+ dump in that time. I'll just take it day by day and do a little dance...

Everybody now

Word. This season is far from over and big dumps are still very possible.

How about upper and lower 42? Every other mountain has seeded bump trails. We have to hope that the bump coaches put 20 pegs in the ground where grooming can't see them.
BTW, Purna, Calirs, and Racers was awesome. Thanks for blowing all day Racers on Saturday.

42nd street really is kind of pointless.......which is why it has some of the oldest guns on the mountain, and isn't getting blown open this year.

42 is hardly pointless. Better fall line than most of the mountain and it can have "medium" moguls which are lacking at Hunter.

Totally agree...still don't understand why they hardly ever blow it.

I was happy with the small course set up near midstation this weekend...they even put up a small fence to keep the traversers off of it.

Very few mountains EVER open 100% of their skiable terrain, so we're in the same boat as everyone else...especially this winter.

i think every resort in oregon is 100% open, washington has one or two resorts with a closed trail and just about resort in colorado is fully open......

Not even after the 22" from the Valentines Nor'easter of 07?

Haha, you are a little too hopeful. If we get that much snow, the first issue will be packing it into the rest of the base, but if we get 22", it might be something to think about. Improbable, but I guess possible...in a "it will never happen" kind of way....

:)

Ha ha ha.....Me thinks you owe YSD a free ticket......

Haha...yes, I have officially been defeated. That's awesome though...you guys have been rewarded for your positive attitudes.

So, here's the deal --

If they open 44, I'll do a drawing with everyone from this thread who posted before the storm warning, and give away 5 lift tickets.

Sound like fun?

Nice! Keep me out of the drawing obviously. Great PR! Now no more negativity, Jess!
