It's about time! I guess I know where I'll be on Thursday ;) Even with the crowds it sure beats the day of not skiing.

So can anyone who is familiar with K-mart opening tactics let me know which runs exactly they are targeting to have open for turkey day and by Saturday?

Great Northern to the Glades area - Rime/Reason/Upper East Fall serviced by the North Ridge Triple. Great Northern down Snowdon back to the K1. Maybe Mousetrap on Snowdon. That's the normal opening day fare. Anything beyond that is gravy.

ok....I am pretty sure everyone read by thread about cancelling my killington trip...now I am having mixed thoughts about it. I am pretty sure I can get the reservations back with a simple call....

what do you guys think? It seems like there will be more trails opening up on turkey day then initially thought.

Will the terrain be suitable for a group of beginners and intermediates?

Don't do it!

You made the right call...terrain for the abilities you listed will be sparse if not non-existent.

Didn't your teacher tell you to never change the answer on a test if you weren't sure?

Back up to the eighth post in this thread. That's the typical offering. No guarantees though.

AndyZee, just for that I'm going to the river. That was my plan anyway all along, if they are open on Sunday, and Maybe a booth creek place on Sat if they are open if not it will be the river 2 days. Killington was my last option.

ow no issue on Mrs Z.. My 1st meeting with Mrs Z was over a sam Adams at shall we say before noon.

Ill be there first thing, hopefully ill catch some of you out there.

I doubt it will that crowded, especially in the morning. I could be wrong but I would guess outside of the locals and hardcore day trippers most people will stay home and the venture out on friday-sunday.

From the snow report is appears that they are currently blowing mousetrap and upper bb. I would guess they are planning on running the cripple on friday. Looks like they are also trying to open the magic carpet area on ramshead for beginers.
