I will wear a pack when out west just so I can have my cammelbak with water, but never here at a resort in the east. B/C I do wear it though.
Keys aee hidden on the truck, wallet is left in the truck, and I just carry my credit card, phone in my pocket. The lodge is all of a minute away, I don't need to carry my life with me.

A minute from the Alta exit off the I-15!
I can fit everything in my jacket. A few granola bars, trail map, wallet, keys, extra glove liners, camera, and phone. I drink from the lodge water fountain whenever I use the restroom. If I'm using Ma Nature's bathroom a little snow in the mouth works (not recommended if you're cold or it's under 10 degrees, keep that core body temp up people!)

I just found half of a PBJ sandwich from last season.

Which reminds me of the quad I was on. First guy unzips his pack and pulls out a 2-gallon bag full of PBJ sandwiches. Imagine what a mushed up mess it looked like. He doled (peeled? shoveled) them out to his friends, and voila! lunch! Nice way to maximize slope time!

Maybe its me but I laugh at skiers in the east that carry a back pack all day.If I do bring a pack with beers and/or food on the hill it gets stashed on the first run.

I only carry one thing in my backpack - a smaller backpack. You never know when your backpack is going to fail and I want to be prepared.

Buddy of mine left his bag on the bonaventure chair at Jay. It had his phone, keys, and uh other stuff in it.

At least we easily got back down to the base to alert the liftie and wait for the chair to make it back down.

I agree - go pro is lame. Nobody wants to see your crappy footage. So sick, brah.

Has anyone ever had a liftie ask you remove the backpack from your shoulder before getting on the lift? I'm thinking of getting one for food and water

I haven't, but I always remove it anyways. It feels weird wearing it plus when you're on a lift with no bar you feel precariously close to the edge of the seat

I heard they will be doing this at my local hill this year, probably makes sense.

yes. I always remove mine regardless. I've even seen signs at a lift to remove the backpack
