So who's gonna try and get some turns in tomorrow? It sounds like some accumulating snow is happening up North. Those of you that do get out are obligated to report back with details, and PICS. Just so you know... ;)

I am hoping for some turns next week if it does snow again and someone makes some snow as well. I am at home this weekend, but will be in N Connecticut next week for work and in a better position to get at some snow.

*raises hand*

I've got a window of about 1.5-2 hours tomorrow morning in which I expect to get out on the hill. I'm gonna try to get some action photos, but that will only happen if I can get someone to join me (although I've already talked to one potential candidate).

Car is packed and my alarm is set for 4:00 AM. I hope to be on the summit of Jay not long after sunrise to get to the snow before any melting occurs.

following the radar loop tonight and seeing some first hand reports on skivtl, i am concerned jay may not have the goods. i may be mansfield bound. i am setting the alarm clock a little earlier to research online and make the call tomorrow. i'll be on 3-13 where ever i am. keep the reports coming if you are some place where it is snowing! not doing anything in StJ.

Waiting patiently for the reports and pics. Amazing to think that some folks may be making decent East coast turns right now... :spread:

I had about 5" of snow on my car this morning at 1800'. Headed down to the MRV floor at 7am and at about 1000' there was no snow on the ground. Once I got to Rt 100 I sure had alot of heads turning as I drove down the road. I am assuming it was the snow that was turning their heads and pointing their fingers, of course, and not my early morning good looks.

Just got back from Mansfield. Cover was variable with high winds. Perfect changeover last night, everything got coated with edgeable glaze. Snow was wind packed and a bit set up on the wider trails like Gondi, Perry Merril, Nosedive, but up high you could link up the drifts for good skiing. Found the best snow on Cliff Trail. Consistant 8-12, dense, but the top few inches were very light. Skiied like alot more. Switchback down from the Rim Rock cross over was soft, but not that deep.

Nice, thanks for the report! I'm dissapointed in the lack of pics, but I understand I probably wouldn't want to take any either... ;)
