I'm posting this really late. However I did get out and made some "turns" at Burke 7:30 on Saturday morning. I had a chance to go with riverc0il to Jay but I passed it up since I wanted some time to do some work in the woods on Saturday as well. Burke only had about 2-3 inches of snow. The toll road gate was open :-D so I started driving up. However, by the time I got to the pavilion the road turned to sheer ice. so I parked there and hiked the rest of the way to the summit. there really wasn't any more snow up at 3000' than there was at 2000'. So I made a few turns on upper Willoughby. Then I was able to skate down the icy toll road most of the way back to my truck. Along the way I met a Burke employee driving to the summit in the company truck. He asked me how the skiing was. Then he asked me if my truck was down by the pavilion. I told him it was. He said he was closing down the toll road and that he was going to close the gate. he left it unlocked for me so that I could get out. :flag: I locked it behind me. I got a few more snow turns in farther down the mountain on Upper and Lower Dipper. Nothing spectacular.

Its nice that the forecast looks like its going to hold up and can count on at least a few more in the up coming days for earning quality turns. much better product today than saturday, you'll have a good run at manny tomarrow.
