23 years...started at 10. Wish I'd started much earlier so I would have been at a much higher level by the time I got into my high teens.

Was forced by my wife to start at 31. So 11 years. Bet she never knew that she would create a fanatic who would drag her all over the place. But then again she has seen more places in the world than most people will. They're just covered with snow when we get there.

I started here http://www.nelsap.org/nj/peapack.html when I was 4, 44 years ago.

From NELSAP
"The rope tow was powered by an old 4 cylinder car engine with a three speed trans. The rope was wrapped around a tire rim a few times and was held up by hubs attached to telephone pole. (this was exactly the same setup that Mirror Lake Inn had) I learned to ski there early in the 60s and taught a few lessons. In 3rd gear that sucker would either smoke your gloves or rip your arms off."

I think I was 5 or 6, not really sure. I know it was at West Mountain in Glens falls but not sure exactly when.

So this was my 14th or 15th season.

Let's see, I did a couple days back in Jr. High School through the ski program, dropped out because I was too sick to make it worth staying in the program. Didn't pick it back up until after High School with my older brother for a few years. Had a child, stopped going again for financial reasons, went on and off with my daughter as I found deals. Now since my husband and I have been together for about 6 1/2 years we try to go as much as possible. Kinda sporadic in the middle so if I put it all together about 10 years. WOW, hadn't realized how little it really has been.
