How long have you been skiing?

Started skiing in jr. high mostly one day bus trips to the berkshires back in the days of straight skis and neon. Only Jake Burton and some friends were snowboarding back then. Half-pipes were "snowboard only" early on as they were limited in trail choice. I'd never heard of a glade until I started skiing VT back in the early 90's.

I guess I've been skiing for twenty years or so. Not that you could tell by watching me ski

Started skiing as a little kid on this tiny little mtn in western NY (called sitzmarker). Skied until my early years in HS when I stopped because my time was 100% devoted to another sport (swimming). I could count the number of times I skied in college on one hand (4 to be exact). Now that I am done with college, done with swimming (not by choice...stupid shoulder) I can ski again. This is really my first season back in 8 or so years.

I am always looking to improve, only way i know how to do that is to ski...a lot.

Started skiing in high school at Seven Springs, PA back in the early nineties. Stopped for college and then moved to Boston a few years back and decided to pick it up again. Have been going strong for the past 3 years.

However, I only skied once 4 years ago and then 3 times in my second season. I have only seriously skied the last two years.

I've been at it for 24 years, although only the four in high school plus the last few have had significant numbers of ski days.

THis is only my 3rd year, you would figure being raised 2miles from Mt Tom someone would have suggested skiing at some point but ummm nope.

Totals....

Total years of wandering around on the snow...~14.
However like others' experiences, it has really been the last bunch of seasons(~4-5) ...from reading/learning technique-cues from online websites, that has cleaned up a lot of the dead-end strategies/technique from the past....
